BackPocket Privacy Notice

BackPocket collects the information needed to scope, deliver, secure, and support a rescue request. This includes your name, email, phone number, problem description, tools and constraints, service assessment records, case and visit status, consent choices, and payment status. Stripe receives payment and billing information; BackPocket does not store full card numbers.

How information is used

We use case information to assess the request, apply safety policy, prepare and deliver an offer, fulfill a purchased plan or confirmed visit, communicate with you, prevent abuse, reconcile payments and refunds, and maintain business and contest evidence. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

BackPocket uses cloud application and assisted-analysis providers, hosted case storage, Stripe for payments, an email delivery provider, and a mapping provider for approved location features. Each provider processes information for its service under its own privacy and security terms.

Website analytics and consent

BackPocket uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic, page use, rescue-request completion, checkout starts, and payment-status page views. Analytics receives path-only page locations, page titles, origin-only external referrers, consent state, a small set of bounded service events, and the standard browser, device, network, and coarse-location context Google derives for measurement. BackPocket does not send form contents, names, contact details, service addresses, problem descriptions, case IDs, payment IDs, or URL query strings to Analytics. GA4 Enhanced Measurement is disabled, including automatic form, search, history, outbound-link, download, video, and scroll events.

Analytics advertising storage and personalization are always disabled. You can allow or deny Analytics storage from the site prompt and change that choice later with the Analytics preferences link in the public footer. When Analytics storage is denied, Google Analytics may receive limited cookieless measurements for aggregate reporting, but it may not store Analytics cookies on your device.

Location and field visits

Precise device location is not collected through public intake. During an active assigned visit, the customer may separately allow a Rescuer to record a current coordinate. That consent can be revoked; BackPocket does not represent this as continuous tracking.

Retention, access, and deletion

Records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for service delivery, safety, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, legal obligations, and documented business evidence. To request access, correction, or deletion, email privacy@backpocket.help. Some records may be retained when required for payment, tax, safety, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Security and changes

BackPocket uses access controls, signed provider webhooks, limited secrets, and audit records, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Material changes will be published here with a new effective date and version.
