BackPocket Service Terms

These terms apply when you submit a rescue request or buy a BackPocket service. By submitting, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have authority over the property, device, vehicle, or account involved.

What BackPocket provides

BackPocket scopes practical problems and may provide free triage, a paid Remote Rescue Plan, an eligible fixed-scope onsite offer, a professional referral, or no service. A Remote Rescue Plan is personalized digital guidance for the customer to carry out; it is delivered after successful payment. An onsite offer is not a reservation until BackPocket confirms an assignment.

Safety and scope

BackPocket is not an emergency service. Do not use it for immediate danger, medical needs, gas, mains electrical work, structural work, major plumbing, hazardous materials, security bypass, weapons, or work that requires an unconfirmed license or permit. Stop when the plan says to stop, when the real situation differs from the submitted case, or whenever continuing feels unsafe. A plan or recommendation does not replace an onsite inspection or a licensed professional.

Prices and payment

The price shown for the approved offer is fixed for that stated scope. Stripe processes card payments. Applicable Iowa sales tax is included in the displayed price and itemized during Checkout; it is not added on top. Materials, disposal, travel, or added work are not included unless the offer expressly says so; BackPocket will not add them without your approval. Promotion codes are not currently offered.

Customer responsibilities

Follow the stated steps and stop conditions, use appropriate protective equipment, and do not conceal hazards or change the scope. For onsite work, an adult customer must remain present, approve the final bounded scope, provide safe lawful access, and allow the Rescuer to decline or stop work.

No guaranteed outcome

BackPocket promises the purchased plan or confirmed bounded service, not a guaranteed repair or result. Some problems require parts, a different service, or a licensed professional after more facts are known.
